In the 2025 Bihar elections, Sunil Kumar Pintu, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from the Sitamarhi Assembly constituency, emerged victorious, with the results declared on Friday. However, Pintu’s victory and election journey were not free from controversy, as just a few days before the first phase of polling on November 6, his alleged obscene video surfaced on social media.
Pintu, who previously served as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Janata Dal (United), filed an FIR with the cyber cell before the first phase of polling after some obscene videos of him— which he claimed were fake— went viral on social media.

According to a report by Live Hindustan, he stated in the FIR that the videos were part of a conspiracy orchestrated by his opponents just before the elections to tarnish his reputation and political image. Pintu further said that this was not the first time such an incident had occurred; a similar video was released in 2023 as well.
One clip released on social media showed a man engaging in obscene acts with a woman, while another showed him involved in inappropriate activity over a video call. HT.com could not independently verify the authenticity of the two clips.
