On November 29, 2025, a mass shooting erupted at a banquet hall in the 1900 block of Lucille Avenue near Thornton Road in South Stockton, California, shattering a children's party and turning the area into what witnesses called an "active war zone."

The Sheriff's Office described the scene as active, with road closures in place and a strong advisory for residents to steer clear while deputies secure the area.

Nearby agencies, including the University of the Pacific (UOP) police, California Highway Patrol (CHP), and Delta Water Authority, are providing support amid the ongoing probe.

The suspect remains at large, and authorities have yet to release details on a motive or the number of shooters involved. Initial scanner reports suggested up to 19 casualties, but officials are working to verify those figures.
