Police said that early Saturday morning, a 22-year-old Latin music artist and social media influencer was shot and killed in an ambush attack in the Northridge area of Los Angeles.
The victim, Maria De La Rosa, also known as Delarosa, was sitting in a parked car with others before the attack, according to authorities.
Witnesses told officers that the suspects approached the vehicle before opening fire.

The LAPD reported that multiple shots were fired at around 1:25 a.m. The injured singer was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Two other people in the car were injured; their conditions have not been made public, ABC Los Angeles reported. It is not yet clear whether the others in the vehicle were shot.
No arrests have been made in the case, and authorities have not disclosed any motive.
De La Rosa released her first solo song, “No Me Llames” (“Don’t Call Me”), in August.
On her Instagram page, which has more than 40,000 followers, she recently posted a photo of herself in a recording studio holding an electric guitar, with a Spanish caption that read, “Cooking in the kitchen.”

Fans and members of the Latin music community have paid tribute to the rising star following confirmation of her death.
Among them were producer Jimmy Humilde and Juan Moises, the lead singer of Los Gemelos de Sinaloa.
In a message posted in Spanish, music producer and engineer Times J Martinez described her as talented and promising, adding: “Me duele que haya sido con violencia,” which translates to “It hurts that it happened with violence.”
A woman named Deinyra De La Rosa, who appears to be a relative of the late singer, shared several Instagram messages paying tribute to her.
A person named Devin Christiansen wrote that the singer had helped him find an agency to start his own career and said that he “could never be grateful enough for meeting her when he was at his lowest.”
He also wrote, “I am truly sorry for your loss. God has received an angel. I remember how much you used to talk about her future and how proud you were of her. During this time, I ask all of you to pray for her and the family.”
“No words can express this kind of loss and pain. God, I pray that You place Your hand over this family and guide them toward peace.”
