MELAKAH - A third-grade student at a secondary school here has suffered mental trauma, including not wanting to go to school, after she was allegedly raped by two senior students in turn.
Even more shocking was the incident, which took place at around 2:30pm last week in a classroom in Alor Gajah, which was recorded and watched by two other students using their mobile phones.
Sources said the Oct 2 incident came to light when a video of the indecent act was shared among the students and later reported to teachers and later to the victim's mother on Friday evening.

According to sources, before the incident, the 15-year-old had returned to the third-floor classroom to collect materials for a science project he had left behind.
However, he said, the victim immediately wanted to leave when she realised that two 17-year-old senior students were looking at her through the classroom door.
"But the first suspect suddenly removed her hand, grabbed her face and pushed her back into the classroom."
"Meanwhile, another suspect was working as a security guard on the stairs and their two friends were also witnessing the horrific incident in the classroom," he said.

He added that the first suspect stripped the victim naked and raped her, after which the second suspect did the same.
He said another friend recorded the incident using the first suspect's mobile phone, while another guarded the classroom area.
He said that after the incident, the victim refused to go to school until the teacher informed his mother about the video being broadcast.
"After watching the video, the victim's mother took her son to Alor Gazah Police Station to file a police report."

"The victim has now been referred to the Malacca Hospital for further tests and is still undergoing treatment and counselling," he added.
He explained that, following the police report, the four 17-year-old students who were due to sit for the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) examination next month were arrested on the same day the police report was lodged and the case is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code.
Meanwhile, Malacca police chief Datuk Zulkhairi Mukhtar confirmed when contacted by Sinar Harian that he had received a report and that the case was still under investigation.
"All suspects have been remanded for six days until October 16 to assist in the investigation," he said.
